A History In The Making:

I (Cathie) am sure that everyone is shocked by the last three weeks events.  I hope that it’s in a good way.  It has been emotionally exhausting, but truly awesome too.  As Steve and I get to know each other, we find that we have a lot in common.  I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as Steve likes to say.  We are very much alike.

Steve and Patty raised their boys, very much like Bill and I raised our son Nick. They liked to go camping (they had a camper and we pitched a tent ). The whole family is active in sports.  Bill and Nick were both very active in sports also.  My sport was cooking.  I also like swimming.  Steve makes his own craft beers (yummy).  He also makes his own beautiful furniture.  I make porcelain dolls, or used to that is.

There has been a lot of give and take in my life.  First was having to give up Steven.  I was underage and had no say in what happened to him.  My mother didn’t release him for adoption until he was three years old.  That was not my wish.  It broke my heart when I found out.  Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Banner for loving Steven and giving him a wonderful home to grow up in.  When Bill and I were thirty two, we were fortunate to adopt our beautiful little Irish baby.  Nick has grown into a loving son, husband, and father. We are very proud of our two sons, Nick and Steve.  I know that they will be great friends. LUCKY ME !
